Qualifications

I talked on yesterday’s post as to what qualifies us to go to Heaven. Are there really qualifications or else we will not make it? Is it possible to meet these qualifications to make sure we don’t end up in “the wrong place”?

I believe there are many required qualifications in order to make it safely into the
Kingdom of Heaven. We see in the Bible that sin will not enter in for one thing. If sin will not enter then I suppose you could look at most of us, well maybe even all of us as not making it.

Another thing that is required is perfection. Anything not perfect will not make it as there will be no imperfections in Heaven. I’m not sure if I want to examine myself just in case I find some flaw and see that I may come short of this perfection.

And holiness. Be ye holy even as I am holy says Father. Oh boy, what am I going to do now? I guess I could continue ignoring my shortcomings and sweep those I find in my life under the rug and hopefully God won’t look there. I’m sure we all need a rug to do this with but then what if I find my rug is not big enough? What am I to do then?

I have heard that saying a prayer can qualify me but what about the sins after I have said this prayer? Do I keep on praying and hoping nothing happens to me in-between prayers and asking for forgiveness? What if I don’t have time to ask forgiveness when I see this huge bus heading towards me as I cross the street?

The list of “what if” could go on and on but I think we can see that if this depends on us and anything we do or don’t do, we would constantly be in trouble. In fact we would be in deep enough trouble that none of us would even come close to making it. Let’s not forget that those things mentioned above are a real requirements in order for us to enter into His presence when we pass on from this life. So what am I going to do now?

I said all those things to simply say that Jesus looked after each and every one of those things on our behalf. This has already been done and He has already presented us to the Father holy, perfect and without sin. I think we all know that if any of it depended on us we would be in trouble every minute of every day and we wouldn’t stand a chance. I thank my Saviour for having brought the human race into Himself at the cross and then presented us to His Father and His Father was satisfied with the sacrifice He did for the entire human race.

We have seen the qualifications for entering Heaven are quite extensive and we know we already have these qualifications in Him. Now, what about the qualifications for going to hell, according to evangelical Christianity? Don’t forget they say you either go to one or the other.

There are none. According to evangelical preaching all you have to do is nothing. If you DON’T say the sinners prayer, if you DON’T repent, if you DON’T stop smoking, if you DON’T stop drinking, if you DON’T stop your sex, drugs and rock and roll, if you DON’T….and the list goes on. So we see from what they say you can burn for all eternity by simply doing nothing. Seems like a high price to pay for doing nothing.

I know this is not like my regular posts but I really felt someone needed to read this today. For anyone reading this, rest assured that your entrance into His Kingdom has already been purchase by His blood. He took the keys of hell and there is no more fear of anyone ending up there because it doesn’t exist any longer. Not only that, it was never a place where people burned for all eternity. This was just another twist that started way back when, I am not sure exactly when, but it is rampant still today. We now have a Gospel of grace and peace. No more threats. No more judgment. It is finished.

    Roy I thank God for the true gospel of love and grace.You are right there are so many who need to hear this gospel of Jesus Christ doing all that need to be done for all people.I was just listening to the radio and there is so much teach and preaching of do’s and don’t and how we have to do better and get more holy.To me this is nothing but bring people to be depressed and lose all hope.
    Roy your website is truly opening people hearts to see the wonderful gospel of love and grace.
    Love you brother Dan

    Dan, how true that is what you said about the do’s and don’t that are preached. And this is preached to supposedly make people more holy. Of course we know this is “another gospel” and not the gospel at all. Glad you like reading the posts Dan.

    Roy a tremendous post brother again may i say.One full of hope love and peace.You said,So we see from what they say you can burn for all eternity by simply doing nothing. Seems like a high price to pay for doing nothing.

    What wisdom the true Gospel brings to the heart and mind roy.It makes you feel like shouting from the roof tops look at jesus you have been set free from the law of sin and death.You have been tranlated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of his dear son and all by his grace alone in christ.

    keep preaching it roy my friend.For there is a wisdom that the world is not seeing by those like ourselves at one time who are blind to the grace of God our Father in christ throught the preaching of the law for righteosness still.

    Every human being has the right to cry abba father to the one who has redeemed them for whom christ tasted of death for,heb2v9.For our Savior was not made a high priest throught the law but by a promise from God our father by his will in christ.isa 61 -1-2 1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to preach good tidings unto the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
    2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
    3 To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

    May we continue to glorify him whom to know is life eternal.

    kenneth.

    Ps May i say roy when i look at what isa said here it brings tears to my eyes when he said concerning the savior, To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God;Yes jesus was going to fulfill this day for us all the lamb provided by our father himself.What a loving father we all have and i mean all.

    love you bro,
    kenneth.

    Thank you Kenneth for the comments. Greatly appreciated as always. Hebrews 2:9 is quite clear as to how many people He tasted death for. And therein lies my qualifications. Not because of anything I have done but according to Him having tasted of death for me and the entire world. It is finished.

    Roy you mentined the word according.
    I would like to remind you and others of that word in these few verses.

    Eph 1v4According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

    Eph1v5Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

    EPH 1V7In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;

    Eph 1v9Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

    Eph 1v11Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself:

    Eph 1v19And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

    Eph 3v11According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

    Eph 3v16That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man;

    And to finish royeph4v16From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.

    Continue your edifcation of the body of christ roy my friend,
    kenneth.

    Kenneth, amazing isn’t it when we look at how many times that word was used. And none of it is according to what we have done. It is all according to what He has done. Thanks for bringing that out Kenneth. I really appreciate that.

  9. kenneth says:

    Roy i appreciate all that you do here on this site for your labor of love is not in vain my friend always remember that.I rememeber when others took the time to share their hearts with me.I will never forget them roy for they were a light to me in a real dark place in my life.When the spirit of grace brought them into my life.Oh how manny questions that went throught my mind.But as time passed the light of the true gospel gripped my heart and mind and st me compely free in my mind and emotions.I rememeber Mike williamms saying one time on tape.A perfect message spoken to perfect people makes perfect sense.We know that to be true roy.Don’t we?

    kenneth, I remember as well when I first began seeing this Gospel. Although it was difficult to take in at the time, when I began to see this it was just a whole new world opening up. I thank all the local guys here that are my friends in this Gospel as well as all the friends I am making on the internet through this site as all are an inspiration to me. I am not interested in preaching myself as that would be a total disaster. But preaching Christ and Him crucified is all that interests me when it comes to this wonderful Gospel. Thank you Kenneth. You have been a great help to me and continue to be so.
